EOTC is an online platform that helps parents and guardians connect with tutors for children and individuals under 18. We act as a facilitator, not an employer, and aim to reduce barriers by displaying tutor credentials and relevant information provided by tutors, tutees, and accrediting bodies.

We make every effort to verify tutors through available checks (e.g., DBS, QTS) and display our findings on their profiles. However, we do not guarantee the completeness or ongoing accuracy of this information.

Safeguarding responsibility rests with parents and guardians. While we aim to support a safe and reliable experience, users are expected to exercise their own judgment when selecting and engaging tutors.

are responsible for ensuring a stable internet connection and maintaining an appropriate environment for learning. Recording, sharing, or distributing tutoring sessions without prior written consent is strictly prohibited. All tutors, tutees, and EOTC staff must be treated with respect and professionalism at all times.

All materials provided during sessions are for personal use only, and copying, sharing, or selling any content without permission is strictly prohibited.

Tutors on EOTC may withdraw earnings from completed sessions once specific conditions are met. This policy ensures secure transactions, accountability, and a smooth payment experience for all tutors on the platform.

1. Withdrawal Eligibility

• Funds become eligible for withdrawal 7 days after the successful completion of a session, provided that no dispute or complaint has been raised during that period.

• EOTC reserves the right to delay or suspend access to funds if a session is flagged for review or is under investigation.

2. Minimum Withdrawal Amount

• Tutors may initiate a withdrawal only when their available balance reaches a minimum of £100 (or its equivalent in USD).

3. Withdrawal Requests

• Withdrawals must be initiated by the tutor via their dashboard, with accurate and up-to-date payment information provided.

• Any errors, delays, or failed transactions resulting from incorrect account details are the responsibility of the tutor.

4. Payment Timeline and Currency

• Once a valid request is submitted, payments are processed within 7 business days.

• Currently, EOTC supports payments in British Pounds (GBP) or US Dollars (USD) only.

• Tutors may be responsible for any transaction or conversion fees charged by third-party payment providers.

5. Verification and Compliance

• EOTC reserves the right to request additional identity verification, tax documentation, or banking information prior to processing withdrawals.

• Withdrawals to accounts that do not match the tutor’s verified identity may be declined or delayed for security and compliance reasons.

• Tutors must remain in good standing with the platform to access withdrawal features. Funds may be withheld in cases of policy violations or fraud investigations.

EOTC operates on a clear and transparent service fee structure, applicable to two main categories of engagement:

1. Regular Bookings

A 10% commission is charged on all regular bookings made through the platform. This fee is billed to the tutor only, not the customer. Tutors are advised to factor this commission into their listed pricing to ensure a smooth and consistent payout process. The service charge is automatically deducted at the point of payment and is non-refundable once the session is completed or partially fulfilled.

2. Tutor Recommendation Service

For users who request a verified tutor recommendation through our bespoke matching process, a one-time fee of £100 is billed to the customer upon successful identification of a suitable, recommendable tutor.
After the introduction and negotiation, the tutor is not charged any additional fees, and future engagements may proceed independently of the EOTC platform.

EOTC reserves the right to update its service charges with appropriate notice. All applicable charges are displayed clearly during the relevant booking or recommendation processes.

At EOTC, we understand that schedules can change. This policy outlines how cancellations and rescheduling of booked sessions are handled to ensure fairness and clarity for both tutors and tutees.

1. Cancelling a Booking

• Users may cancel a session up to 24 hours before the scheduled time without penalty.

• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the session may not be eligible for a refund.

• Repeated short-notice cancellations may affect a user’s standing on the platform.

2. Rescheduling a Booking

• Sessions may be rescheduled through the platform up to 12 hours before the original session time, subject to tutor availability.

• Rescheduling requests made later than this are not guaranteed and may be treated as cancellations.

3. Tutor-Initiated Changes

• If a tutor must cancel or reschedule, they are required to give as much notice as possible.

• Users will have the option to reschedule or request a refund if a tutor is unavailable at the agreed time.

4. No-Shows

• If a tutor or tutee does not attend a scheduled session and no prior notice is given, it may be treated as a missed session.

• A no-show by the tutor may be eligible for a full refund or rescheduling.

• A no-show by the tutee may result in forfeiting the session fee.

5. Exceptions

• In cases of emergency or unavoidable circumstances, users may submit a request for review. EOTC will assess such cases individually and determine the appropriate resolution.

All refund and dispute matters are governed solely by EOTC’s platform policies. Tutors are not permitted to impose independent terms and conditions. They may only set their availability and specify the subjects or services they offer.

If an issue arises with a booking, users must escalate the matter to EOTC within 5 days of the scheduled session in order for mediation to begin. Complaints submitted after this window may are not eligible for review.

Refunds may be granted at EOTC’s discretion in cases such as confirmed tutor absence, misrepresentation, or platform-related errors. All requests must be submitted with relevant details and supporting evidence.

EOTC will act as a neutral mediator and aims to resolve disputes fairly. However, we reserve the right to decline refund requests that fall outside the scope of our policy or lack sufficient justification.

Abuse of the dispute process or dishonest conduct may result in loss of platform access.

Refunds are only payable to the originating account of customers.

We are not liable for any technical issues, missed sessions resulting from user error, or outcomes based on tutoring sessions. Our service is provided for educational purposes only.

We collect only the necessary information to provide tutoring services. Your personal information will not be sold or shared with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.
